About the event
Join us to celebrate the kick-off of The Hue Series with authors Catherine Adel West, Piper Huguley, Clarence Haynes (Omar Epps), Yasmin Angoe, and Dr. Melody T. McCloud. These writers represent a wide-range of genres from Historical Fiction to Romance, from Thriller to Fantasy, and even Women's Wellness/Self Help. These are the award-winning writers and books you may have missed if you did not look beyond the bestseller's lists. In the publishing community they are affectionately referred to as "mid-list." Well, the Hue Series is here to shine a light on the amazing writers, artists, producers, and publishers who deliver masterful, critically-acclaimed work that lies right beneath the surface of the hype.
We look forward to sharing these stories and this content with you throughout the year.
The featured books can be purchased with our partner and Black-owned bookseller, Hueman Books at: https://bookshop.org/lists/bluffton-book-festival. We hope you will support these authors this month and every month throughout the year.
